TOM CAMPBELL Artist’s Talk – Sunday, July 22 @ 11am

TOM CAMPBELL, Red Fire 2017, oil on canvas, 36 x 48 inches
Join us as Tom Campbell brings in more new work (most of his recent Ikaria studies have now sold), to hear him talk about his sculptures and paintings, currently on display as part of the Summer Exhibition. Born in England to theatre actors Douglas Campbell and Ann Casson, Tom grew up in Stratford and studied fine arts at Camden Art Centre and Camberwell School of Art in London, England. Upon his return to Canada in 1982, he began to paint full-time and soon received recognition for his work: he was awarded an Art Forms Prize from the Kitchener-Waterloo Gallery in 1984, was given his first solo exhibition at Gallery Stratford and became a gallery artist at Bau-Xi Gallery (Toronto and Vancouver) in 1985. He has exhibited his work regularly since – including his solo exhibition at Agora Gallery in 2015 – and teaches at Toronto School of Art and in Ikaria, Greece.
