Tom Campbell Artist’s Talk – Sunday, August 4 @ 11am
Join us to hear Tom Campbell talk about his latest sculptures and paintings, now on display as part of Agora Gallery’s Summer Exhibition. Born in England to theatre actors Douglas Campbell and Ann Casson, Tom grew up in Stratford and studied fine arts at Camden Art Centre and Camberwell School of Art in London, England. Upon his return to Canada in 1982, he began to paint full-time and soon received recognition for his work: he was awarded an Art Forms Prize from the Kitchener-Waterloo Gallery in 1984, was given his first solo exhibition at Gallery Stratford and became a gallery artist at Bau-Xi Gallery (Toronto and Vancouver) in 1985. In 2015 Agora Gallery presented a solo exhibition of his paintings and sculpture.
