Scott McKowen is an award-winning illustrator and graphic designer who works in scratchboard. He has illustrated books and covers for Harper Collins, Penguin, Random House, St. Martins, Quirk and Tor, as well as a series of children’s classics for Sterling publishing and Neil Gaiman’s graphic novel “1602” for Marvel Comics. Born and raised in Michigan, he is based in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, where he operates the small design studio Punch & Judy Inc, which creates theatre posters and graphics for leading performing arts companies across North America. In 2009, Firefly Books published “A Fine Line: Scratchboard Illustrations by Scott McKowen” and in 2013, Gallery Stratford held a major exhibition of McKowen’s work entitled “Light Revealed”.
