Join us for an informal chat with Patsy Berton about the inspiration and process behind her gorgeous paintings that draw our attention to the beauty of ordinary objects. Prior to receiving a BFA from Camberwell School of Art in London, Berton studied painting with Doris McCarthy and went on to further studies at OCAD, Toronto School of Art, Universita Internationalle D’ell Arte in Venice, Italy and workshops in Greece, France, Italy and Southeast Asia. In addition to being a figurative painter, she has illustrated children’s books and other publications, painted public murals in Cuba, taught art classes and worked with numerous amateur theatre productions.
