Previously the Head of Scenic Art at the Stratford Festival and National Arts Centre in Ottawa for almost a decade, Chris has been gaining international attention for his series of paintings of costumes from the Stratford Festival warehouse, as well as other important costume collections. His work has been included in the Royal Academy of Arts in London’s prestigious Summer Exhibition and been shown in galleries in Romania, Portugal, Germany, Montreal, Toronto, Miami and New York. Agora Gallery is pleased to have presented his first solo exhibition in May 2016. His quiet yet visually captivating paintings combine exquisite colour with contrasting textures and a convincing sense of depth through meticulous use of light and shadow.
